Before You Open:
​Inspect the exterior: Before you even cut the tape, look at the box from all sides. Check for any signs of damage, such as dents, punctures, or crushed corners. This can give you an idea of whether the contents might be broken or not.
​Locate the "Fragile" label: Many shippers will mark a box containing glass with a "Fragile" or "Handle with Care" sticker. This confirms that the contents are delicate and should be handled with extra care during the unboxing process.
​Prepare your workspace: Choose a clean, flat, and stable surface to open the package. It's best to work on a soft surface like a carpet or a towel on a table to provide a cushion in case you accidentally drop the item.
​Have the right tools: Use a box cutter, scissors, or a knife to open the package. Be careful not to cut too deeply, as you might damage the item inside.
​The Unboxing Process:
​Cut the tape: Carefully cut the tape along the seams of the box. Do this slowly to avoid any sudden movements that could cause the contents to shift.
​Remove the lid: Once the tape is cut, gently open the flaps of the box. You might find a lid or a set of inner flaps.
​Remove packaging material: The box will likely be filled with packing peanuts, bubble wrap, crumpled paper, or air pillows. Carefully remove this void-fill material one piece at a time. It's best to do this slowly to avoid dislodging the glass bottle and to make sure you don't accidentally throw away any accessories or small items that might be hidden inside the packaging.
​Lift the bottle: Once the bottle is visible and the surrounding packaging is cleared, gently lift it out of the box.
​Unwrap the bottle: The glass bottle will likely be wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap, foam, or paper. Carefully unwrap it. Do not use a sharp object to cut the wrapping as you might scratch or damage the glass.
​Inspect for damage: Once the bottle is fully unwrapped, inspect it thoroughly for any cracks, chips, or scratches. Check the body, the base, and the neck of the bottle. Also, check the cap or lid to make sure it's not damaged.
​Keep the packaging (if necessary): If you plan to return the item or if you think you might need to ship it again in the future, it's a good idea to keep the original packaging.

​Use a slightly damp, soft and line-free cloth for regular dust removal.
